Dr. Greg Drake

Dr. Drake is one of 13 children. While growing up in a large family, he has witnessed numerous injuries in his own family members including ACL tears, broken fingers and golf clubs to foreheads. It was those experiences that steered him toward orthopedic surgery. He now has 5 great kids and a wonderful wife. Most weekends you can find him watching on the sidelines at a soccer, lacrosse or volleyball game. In addition to his work, being a Dad uber is one of his specialties. He enjoys spending time with the family, being outdoors, water sports, archery, piloting and golf.

Dr. Drake is dual fellowship trained in shoulder and elbow surgery and adult spinal reconstructive surgery. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, followed by medical training at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He completed a general medical internship at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan, followed by an orthopedic residency in which he served as chief resident of the hospital.

Dr. Drake is deeply committed to the welfare of his patients. Dr. Drake’s belief in maximizing conservative and non-surgical treatment is complemented by his exceptional surgical skills and experience. He specializes in minimally invasive treatment options and believes in a conservative, minimalistic approach to surgery. Dr. Drake completed hundreds of cases last year, including labral reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs, shoulder replacements and shoulder fractures.

MEET THE STAFF

Steve

Physician Assistant-Certified

Steve assists Dr. Drake in all surgical procedures and will follow you closely during your recovery phase. His clinic runs parallel to Dr. Drake with convenient early morning and evening availability. He has been a PA since 2006 and joined Dr. Drake in 2022. He enjoys kayaking, time with his family and barbequing.

Lia

Registered Nurse

When you schedule surgery, Lia will be there to guide you through the process from preparation to the day of surgery. Lia has been with Dr. Drake since 2009. She enjoys doing crafts, time with her family and reading mysteries.

Amy

Medical Assistant & Scribe

You may see Amy in the room transcribing for Dr. Drake. She will assist you in executing the individualized treatment plan he establishes for you. Amy has been working with Dr. Drake since 2011. She enjoys traveling, watching her sons participate in sports and being anywhere near water.

Jessica

Medical Assistant

Jessica will start and obtain the information for your visit with Dr. Drake. She will also help discharge you and make sure you understand the treatment plan. Jessica has been with Dr. Drake since 2017 and is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys exercising, keeping up with her children and acrylic painting.

Paulina

Medical Assistant

Paulina will start and obtain the information for your visit with Dr. Drake. She will also help discharge you and make sure you understand the treatment plan. Paulina has been with Dr. Drake since 2019 and is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys hiking, bicycling, and reading mystery novels.
